Successful “Crafting with Nature – Fall Wreath Event” Brings Seniors Together at Woodstock Senior Center

Woodstock, Ala. – October 2, 2023 – Woodstock Senior Center is delighted to announce the resounding success of its recent collaborative event, “Crafting with Nature – Fall Wreath Edition,” held in partnership with the Bibb County – Alabama Extension Office. The event, which took place on Sept. 26, brought together seniors from the community for a delightful day of seasonal creative expression.
Senior Center Director Frankie Grammer and Bibb County Extension Office Director Michelle Giddens spearheaded this unique event, which took place at the Woodstock Senior Center.

Giddens contributed significantly to the event’s success by generously supplying most of the beautiful fall materials from her own backyard, including pinecones, holly, moss, cedar branches, and more, creating a genuine connection between participants and the natural world.

“We are thrilled with the success of this event and the sense of camaraderie it brought to our seniors,” said Frankie Grammer, Director of Woodstock Senior Center. “The partnership with the Bibb County Extension Office and Michelle’s generous contribution of materials truly made this a special experience.”

“The Town of Woodstock Alabama has a great senior center,” noted Michelle Giddens. “I really enjoy doing programs with them. You can see the life long friendships people have. They laugh a lot and just enjoy being together. Frankie is a wonderful partner and Bibb County is blessed to have her at the center.”

Looking forward to October, the Senior Center has a festive Halloween Party on tap for enrolled congregants. Scheduled for October 31, the party will be from 11AM-1PM and include prizes for best costumes, door prizes, fabulous food and lots of spooky snacks.
