The Town of Woodstock Celebrates a Small Town Christmas

๐ŸŽ„ A Small Town Christmas: Spreading Cheer and Giving Back ๐ŸŽ„

The Town of Woodstock would like to thank everyone who participated in the “Spirit of Christmasโ€ contest during our “A Small Town Christmas” event. Area civic groups, churches, and organizations came together to decorate tents that embodied and exhibited โ€œThe Spirit of Christmas,โ€ in honor of their favorite charity or non-profit.

Area families gathered in festive spirit for the annual tree lighting event, which brought its own holiday magic to the heart of Woodstock. The evening also featured a visit from Santa with complimentary photos for all, and charming train rides through the Winter Wonderland, creating lasting memories for everyone who attended.

๐ŸŽ„ A Word About All Our Participants From Mayor Jeff Dodson ๐ŸŽ„

โ€œI want to take a moment to recognize each and every group that participated in this yearโ€™s โ€œSmall Town Christmas and Spirit of Christmas Awardsโ€, said Mayor Jeff Dodson  โ€œYou didnโ€™t just decorate tentsโ€”you brought the spirit of Christmas to life in a way that left us all in awe.โ€

Starting with the community pride of the Green Pond Fire & Rescue tent, every tent told a unique story. Groups like New Life Assembly of God and Green Pond Baptist reminded us of the reason and joy of the season, while businesses like Reach Plumbing and John Rich-State Farm showed how much our local organizations care about giving back.

And how could we not smile at the festive flair of Bibb County DHR or the heartwarming efforts of First US Bank? Whether you were here with a church, a business, or a community group, your hard work didnโ€™t go unnoticed.

To all 11 groups: thank you for making Woodstock shine brighter than ever. Youโ€™ve proven that when our town comes together, we can make magic happen. We are  proud of each of you!
