Happy to add to the narrative of the Dowdle family. I am a direct descendant of William Dowdle (1813-1854) (AL)and Rebecca Ann Moore (b 1818-AL; d 1906 of cancer @ Sidney TX and buried at Prairie Lea in Caldwell Co. TX). Their daughter Nancy Martha Ann Dowdle born 7/30/1842 Tuscaloosa Co AL married William Franklin Keese at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church near Lockhart also in Caldwell County. Frank Keese was my great grandfather who had great influence on the life of his daughter Allie Keese (who md. Phil Stovall) and my mother, Frances Laurine Briggs (1915-1993). Very interested in finding any photos of William Dowdle, Rebecca Ann Moore, if anyone has them. Glad to share more information on this line to anyone with interest. Truett Briggs, tru.1037@aol.com.
